Docent Training Just Announced
Training is provided and runs seven Saturdays beginning March 3th, 2012 and ends April 14th, 2012. The first meeting will be at the Barracks in Sonoma. Other training sites include Park tours and special events. After training, a commitment of four hours a month is required.

Volunteers Needed

We do request a minimum of four hours per month of volunteer service.
- Sales help in the bookstore Work at the Petaluma Adobe gift store. Answer visitor questions, sell publications, and souvenirs. Training Provided
- Interpretive events Participate in special events at the park by helping staff with demonstrations, fee collections, sales, and period crafts
- Gardening
- Artifact Cleaning
- Various Eagle Scout, Girl Scout, and Boy Scout projects available
- Petaluma/Sonoma Docent Docents assist at the parks in providing interpretive activities, educational programs, and promotion of Petaluma Adobe State Historic Park and Sonoma State Historic Park-which includes Mission San Francisco Solano, Vallejo Home, Casa Grande Site, and the Soldiers Barracks. Must complete California State Parks Volunteer Training. A commitment of four hours per month is requested for docents.
